Delivery fees are added to the price of all flower deliveries at checkout unless you have selected the farmstand pickup option. The fees are determined based off your delivery location in relation to our farm. We deliver to areas within Madison County, as well as some surrounding counties, which include: Hancock, Hamilton, Henry and Shelby. If requesting an order outside these areas, please send an email to dirtandlaceflowerco@gmail.com with delivery details (location, preferred date, recipient) to see if we can accommodate your request.

We will do our best to accommodate specific delivery days/times, however, due to being a small farm operation we ask that you place your orders at least three days in advance in order to have adequate time for communication with you and to prepare your order. Bouquets are assembled the morning of your delivery day. A vase will be provided with all deliveries as well as a small card (if requested). Please leave any detailed information you would like on your card in the “additional comments” section of the checkout page. If you or your recipient are not home at the time of delivery we will place your flowers in an area of shade.

Flowers are a perishable product with each flower having a variable vase life. However, since they are going from our field to your table you will get the longest bloom time possible. How you care for them affects their lifespan, too. You will be provided with a “Flower Care Tips” info card upon your first delivery but you can also refer to the next question.

Do not leave them out of water for an extended period of time. For longest vase life: use a clean vase with clean water (if you wouldn’t drink it, your flowers won’t either!), change the water every couple days and snip the ends of each stem to help them re-hydrate. Keep in a cool place, away from direct sunlight and hot or cool drafts

Subscription bouquets will be ready for pickup on either Wednesday or Thursday for weekly subscription holders. Monthly subscriptions will be ready the second week of the month on Thursdays. The start date of the subscription term will be announced closer to the season for which it was purchased. Reason being, like any farmer, I am governed by Mother Nature (she decides when the flowers bloom after all). Subscribers will receive clear instructions about their start date and subsequent pickup dates/times primarily via email - please be sure to provide your correct email address at checkout.
-
Yes! Any of our subscriptions would be good fit to display in your business or office!

If you are going on vacation we ask that you arrange for someone else to receive your blooms while you're away. Perhaps a pet sitter or family friend would enjoy your bouquet that week! We will also allow for one delivery or farmstand pickup change per subscription term. Changes can include requesting delivery an alternative week or to double-up on bouquets during another week. For delivery changes, the address must remain the same. Once you receive your delivery or pickup days/times please let us know of any conflicts so we can work to accommodate them.

Absolutely! Simply indicate in the additional comments section on the checkout page that this is a gift and we will be in touch to gather more details.

Our subscription bouquets are always grower’s choice. You won't know exactly which flowers you'll get, but that's half the fun! It will be a beautiful mix of whatever is currently blooming on the farm. Due to logistics, we are unable to take special requests for our subscription bouquets. If you have a special request, you may contact us about a separate flower order. We may be able to provide specific flowers for special events or other requests.

We recommend keeping flowers out of reach of curious pets as most flowers are toxic to pets if ingested.
-
Absolutely not! While we are not a certified organic farm, we use organic growing practices to grow all of our flowers. This includes abstaining from using pesticides or chemicals to extend vase life. You can rest assured that no harsh chemicals will follow your bouquet into your home and feel safe to touch, arrange and smell our flowers.
